Ragdoll cats are known for their easygoing and mellow personalities. These make good pets if you have kids as they aren't known for being aggressive. The breed was started in the '60s in California by a woman named Ann Baker. Like with the Persians, you have to brush them regularly to avoid matted fur.

    These are the sweetest cats. My sister-in-law, Kim,has 2. The cats are sisters. My niece and nephew can pick them up and they go limp in their arms. One of the cats prefers adults and the other one prefers children.
